Here’s what the Two Champions have to say

Team Charlo is pretty confident about winning the match. Talking about the June 19 fight, Charlo says, “I’m pretty sure Montiel has prepared to bring me some strong challenges and will try to knock me down. But I'm not going to take any pressure that way. I don’t listen to what people say; I just lay them out. I will prepare myself. Anf, I’m going to make sure my mental strength matches my physical abilities— making me more potent than ever. Montiel fights from both stances, and he is a pressure fighter. He will fight fire with fire. It’s like when you are a champion; everyone wants to beat you to showcase their abilities. I know he will be in good shape and do everything to win this fight, but I will be faster, smarter & stronger.”

On the other hand, Juan Macias Montiel responded, “I’m all prepared and ready to take up the challenge against Charlo. I have been waiting for this fight; it’s like a dream come true. My team has been working hard on this for quite some time, and I’m ready to step up and take the challenge. Those who think that this is an easy fight for Charlo have no idea about my fights. I disagree when people say a spark can’t set the forest on fire. I’m the spark. Just be prepared to see who Juan Macías Montiel is. I know Charlo is number one and for obvious reasons, which I can see. But I’m going to make him stunned inside the ring, and that’s for sure. I know he is on top of his game, and I respect him for his game.”
