Jaime Munguia, the pride of Tijuana, and Gabriel Rosado, the people's champion, will face off against one another in a middleweight fight on Saturday, November 13, in Anaheim's Honda Center in the Jaime Munguia vs. Gabriel Rosado match. The much-awaited match will have two of the toughest boxers in the world in an aggressive match that will add to the longstanding boxing rivalry of Puerto Rico and Mexico. The 12-round middleweight match of Jaime Munguia vs Gabriel Rosado will be for the WBO Inter-Continental Middleweight World Championship. The match will be shown live on DAZN worldwide, excluding Mexico. The match will start at 9 PM ET / 6 PM PT.

The fans will see a young undefeated boxer take on another challenge in a new division before trying for another world championship. But a small group of fans believes that this has the chance of becoming a great action match, at the very minimum. In the best-case scenario, Jaime Munguia vs. Gabriel Rosado has the chance to become a runner for the fight of the year nomination. The two boxers fought on this same card nearly six months ago. This was when Rosado got a listing for Knockout of the Year over Bektemir Melikuziev in one of the initial rounds.

Munguia stepped up as the event's headliner and proved an unstoppable barrier for Kamil Szeremeta in the middle of the match. After their respective matches, Rosado and Munguia made it clear that they wanted to elevate their rivalry to the next level. Now, they will get a chance to prove who is the better boxer in the Jaime Munguia vs. Gabriel Rosado match.

Gabriel Rosado is ready for the fight.

Gabriel Rosado is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is coming from an incredible knockout win over the former undefeated boxer Bektemir ‘Bully’ Melikuziev. The boxer from Philadelphia is of Puerto Rican descent and has never shied away from a fight and has given some of the most memorable fights in the sport. He now goes against one of the toughest boxers in the division. His experience has made him ready for the upcoming test. He will go against Munguia on November 13 and maybe get the WBO Intercontinental Middleweight championship.

"I think the last couple fights since I linked up with Freddie Roach, I think it shows. This is an improved Gabe Rosado. I have experience; I am putting in the work. Yes, my record is deceiving. I wasn't the guy with the machine behind me, with the big promoters, big management behind me, so I often went into fights where the other guy was the favorite. And there have been fights that should have gone my way, where I got the shit-end of the stick. And it showed in the Danny Jacobs fight. I just saw that fight, and I was like, 'wow, clearly I out-boxed him.' But you know, that's just the beauty of it, that the fans get to see it, and the fans at the end of the day cannot be fooled. I made a statement in my last fight, which I think will be Knockout of the Year. So we are excited about this Munguia fight. I am excited, but I am not going to give up the game plan. I want to do a little bit of everything. I am going to bang, I am gonna move, I am gonna box, and I am going in to win. I am not just going to win on the scorecards; I want to get a knockout. I want to keep that momentum going because I think it is important.”

“These are the kinds of fights where it has to live up to the expectations of the fans. So you have to be a hundred percent, and you have to be willing to be all in, in the ring. It will go down into the history books. This is one of the fights that they will be talking about 20 to 30 years from now. Bek was a two-time Olympian, I believe, 290 knockouts in the amateurs and was crushing his opponents in the pros. He was a big, strong, powerful guy, so that [win for me] was a statement. Munguia could have gone the easier route. He could have gone with his mandatory, so you have to respect the guy that says, 'no, I want Rosado.' He is willing to give the fans what they want, which makes this fight special, that is a fight that the fans asked for. In boxing nowadays, with politics, it is hard to give the fans what they want. This right here is just like an early Christmas gift for the fans. It is going to be lit."

Jaime Munguia is up for the challenge.

Jaime Munguia is ranked as one of the best middleweight boxers in the world. The boxer will still have a significant challenge in going against Gabriel Rosado. He is one of the most entertaining boxers to come out of Tijuana, Mexico. He is a rising boxing star in the middleweight category. He has already defeated the junior middleweight division with a former world championship and more than four defenses against Patrick Allotey, Dennis Hogan, Takeshi Inoue, Brandon Bad Boy Cook, and Liam Beefy Smith. Now, the fighter will try to continue his unconquered streak as he trains under the guidance of Hall of Famer Erik El Terrible Morales as he continues to climb the ladder and show that he is the best boxer at his weight class.

"I think he is a good challenge for me. I have always seen him fight great fighters, so we were interested when the fight was offered. I think this will be a great fight for all fight fans and a great fight for me. Our strategy right now is to focus on working on my general boxing skills. Making sure I keep my distance, keeping my hands up. We noticed that Rosado had an excellent right punch in his last fight, so we want to prepare to prevent him from giving him that advantage. We have been working a lot on my speed and making sure I can move.”

“Yes, I won a world title at 24. But also, all these years I have gained much experience. I feel like my boxing has improved, and we are ready for bigger challenges. After Rosado, there has been much talk about a fight with Derevyanchenko, Jacobs, and Golovkin. This is going to be a fun night, a night full of punches. It will be a war. Everyone knows that Mexico vs. Puerto Rico is always a great fight. I honestly see a very motivated Gabe Rosado. He is strong and willing to give a good fight. I can assure you that we will leave everything in the ring and bring something great on fight night."
