The Tim Tszyu vs. Takeshi Inoue boxing match will see Australian boxer Tim Tszyu return to the boxing ring to take on accomplished Japanese boxer Takeshi Inoue on Wednesday, November 17. The Tim Tszyu vs. Takeshi Inoue boxing match was supposed to take place on the Gold Coast but was shifted to Sydney to the Qudos Bank Arena due to the coronavirus travel restrictions. Tszyu is the son of boxing legend Kostya. He seems to get better with each outing. Several fans are hoping that he will prevail in the Tim Tszyu vs. Takeshi Inoue boxing match and take another step towards a championship match.

The Tim Tszyu vs. Takeshi Inoue boxing match will be the biggest test to date for Tszyu. He may not be a famous name that a large number of boxing fans might know. But you can rest assured that the Japanese boxer is a very high-caliber fighter. In a championship match a few years ago, Inoue was ranked among the top ten globally for several reasons and has already gone against some top rivals, including Jaime Munguia. Inoue could not win that match, but he earned much praise for his ability, power, and effort to take the match the whole distance. This is something that only less than seven boxers have been able to do against the superstar from Mexico.

In his fights that have come after that match, Inoue has had very little trouble. He has used his size and strength to put away his rivals. Like Tszyu, he will hope that this match gives him the ladder to another championship match. This means there will be high motivation for both the boxers in the Tim Tszyu vs. Takeshi Inoue boxing match. Inoue came to Australia in great physical condition. The Japanese boxer raised the eyebrows of many fans when he showed his muscle-bulging and rock-hard torso that has left many thinking that he may be the person to give Tszyu his first career defeat. Former world champion Billy Dib said that Inoue looked like a bodybuilder. But Tszyu knows that aesthetics do not play a major part in winning a boxing match.

Prediction for Tim Tszyu vs. Takeshi Inoue boxing match

Tszyu has created a name for himself as an intelligent and precise boxer who likes applying pressure from the beginning. That will again be the method in which the boxer will approach this match. But we think that he will steer clear of any great risk at the beginning as he gets comfortable with the unique style of Inoue. One of the greatest strengths of the boxer is his capability to figure out his rivals’ style mid-fight. So do not be surprised if the boxer ups the intensity after the initial rounds and starts to fire off his popular bone-ratting body shots, which have held him in great stead in the early part of his professional career. If Inoue cannot get a method to avoid taking the hits, the match could very rapidly get away from him.

Inoue said, “It is not that I have seen any weaknesses but [more] has to do with how my trainer has been working with me, and he is very confident. I have watched Tim Tszyu’s fights. I can see very clearly that, in many ways, he is made to order for me. This is my chance to get back to the world title. It is what I have been working towards since the beginning of my career. Tim is an extraordinary opponent, so I do not expect it to be an easy fight. He was joking. He might try, but he is not going to do that [take my spirit].”

Promoter George Rose of No Limit said, “You can call it a gamble. I think when you are talking about Tim Tszyu, I do not think anything is a gamble. He always wins and always surprises us. We have watched the evolution of him as a fighter, and we can follow that through to a world championship.”

Inoue’s chances for Tim Tszyu vs. Takeshi Inoue boxing match

The big advantage Inoue has going into the match is that he is a boxer who has big fight experience. You cannot underestimate that. He knows what he can get in the match and will not be overawed by the occasion. This is something that has been noted at several moments with some of the other rivals of Tszyu. The other sphere which could hold Inoue in great stead is his size. He has a bigger body than what Tszyu has seen in the past, which could be a hurdle for the latter. Inoue will be relying on that power and size to unsettle Tszyu. If he catches Tszyu off guard in the initial stages itself, he might just be the one to win the match.

Tszyu said, “In all honesty, I am in that mode where I just want to hurt people. I am a born fighter, and I am here to fight three to four times a year. What am I going to do? Sit on the sideline, sit at home, wake up at 11 am. I have things to do, things to achieve, bodies to punch, and faces to hurt. That is what I want to do. I have been taught differently. Speed and power is not the main thing. It is what is inside your brain and IQ—being ten steps ahead of your opponent. You can be the quickest puncher. You can be the hardest puncher. You can do everything perfectly, but if you do not have the IQ, it will not get you everywhere. I came into this sport not just to achieve a world title but world titles in multiple divisions. I am here for the long run.”

Manager Glen Jennings added, “This is the 20th time we have been up here and the 20th time we have heard our opponent will be better than Tim. To date, that has not come to fruition. Tim is ready. He is always ready. We never have any lack of confidence that he will take care of business.”
