There are some matches that are scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the Toyota Center in Houston, USA. The matches are going to be a part of the Premier Boxing Championships. The main event will take place between the WBC middleweight championship holder Jermall Charlo and his challenger Maciej Sulecki. Charlo is among the top boxers ranked by the Ring. In one undercard match, the unconquered junior featherweight boxer Ra'eese Aleem will go against Mike Plania. In the other undercard match of the night, the undefeated lightweight boxer Frank Martin will go against Ricardo Nunez in the Frank Martin vs. Ricardo Nunez lightweights boxing match. Martin stays in Indianapolis, Indiana. He obtained a great win in his most recent match that was held in January. He dropped his rival Romero Duno a couple of times on the mat on course to his stoppage win in the middle rounds.

The boxer knocked out another rival, Jerry Perez, in a match of undefeated lightweight contenders last year. Some months later, the boxer got a unanimous decision victory against Ryan Kielczweski over a completely one-sided match. Nunez stays in La Chorrera, Panama. Three years ago, he lost by technical knockout against Gervonta Davis. Since then, he has achieved victory in his previous matches by notching a knockout. He defeated the former title contender Alfredo Santiago. A few months later, he defeated Richard Solano. Nunez has defeated three of his previous opponents and stopped most of them before the entire course of the match. The Frank Martin vs. Ricardo Nunez lightweight boxing match is looking great on paper. It is surely going to add a lot of flavor and vibrancy to the whole night.

The relatively experienced Martin has risen up the ranks of the lightweight division in the previous year with some great wins before recently getting a knockout victory on the first day of the year against Romero Duno. In the previous year, Martin knocked out the undefeated Jerry Perez in a match he dominated. This was before he won a unanimous decision against Ryan Kielczweski a few months later. Martin is originally from Indianapolis and now trains in Dallas under the guidance of his trainer James. He trains alongside the unified welterweight title holder Errol Spence Jr. Nunez is going to present La Correra, Panama. He is entering the Frank Martin vs. Ricardo Nunez lightweight boxing match with knockout wins in his previous couple of matches. This includes defeating Richard Solano half a year ago in the initial rounds. The boxer has gone up to the lightweight division for these couple of wins after challenging the multiple-division titleholder Gervonta Davis for his title.

The boxer started his professional boxing career more than a decade ago. He also has a brother named Ricardo, an experienced professional boxer in the featherweight division. Martin said, "I've been training hard in Dallas, and I'm just excited and ready to go. Núñez is a boxer-puncher, so I expect him to mix it up with some fast combinations and throw my movement off, but I'll be ready for that. Fight fans are going to enjoy an action fight with this one. We've got the speed, power, and athleticism to put on an exciting show on June 18." Nunez said, "I'm happy to be back in a big fight on June 18. You're going to see a whole new fighter against Martin. I'm coming to fight and impose my style on my opponent. Martin is a good boxer who's made it to a high level, but he still has to show what he's made of. I'm going to give one hundred percent to stop his rise and be the first person to beat him."

Frank Martin vs. Ricardo Nunez Main Card

The main card of the Frank Martin vs. Ricardo Nunez lightweight boxing match will see Jermall Charlo take on Maciej Sulecki. Charlo will defend the WBC middleweight championship belt in that match against Sulecki. It is the match that has not enthused the wider boxing audience about seeing a title defense by Charlo. In one of the undercards matches, Rae'eese Aleem will go against Mike Plania. Aleem has already turned thirty and has a small window because of his age to prove his worth. But he is also with the correct team in promotions to get his path to a championship match. It can happen against the winner of the match between Danny Roman and Stephen Fulton Jr. In the previous year, he had some good victories against Vic Pasillas and Eduardo Baez a few months later. According to experts and fans, the wins were a good show of his talent. Plania is now getting the right chance to make a follow-up on his little upset win against Joshua Greer Jr a couple of years ago.

He has had a couple of matches since that match. But the rivals were quite marginal, and the matches were in the Philippines and Florida. The young boxer is convinced he can get another upset victory in the upcoming match. Aleem comes from Muskegon, Michigan. The most recent boxing match he was involved in happened half a year ago. He won against Eduardo Baez from Mexico in that match by majority decision. The match happened in his adopted residence in Las Vegas, Nevada. The victory against Baez happened nearly a year after Aleem got a great stoppage victory against Vic Pasillas in a match of the undefeated top candidates. Until the match against Baez, the boxer had appeared on some ShoBox telecasts. Aleem is ranked among the top seven boxers in his weight division. He thinks a great win against Plania could get him a match against a top contender from his weight division in the latter half of this year. Plania comes from General Santos City, Philippines.

He got an upset victory a couple of years ago. He was successful in dropping Joshua Greer Jr. a couple of times to the mat until he got a majority decision victory. In his most recent match held half-a-year ago in Miami, Florida, the boxer defeated the former contender Ricardo Nunez in the initial round itself.

Plania said, "Ever since I beat Joshua Greer to put myself in the world rankings, I have been looking for an opportunity to fight the best at 122 pounds to secure a world title shot. June 18 is that time, and by beating Ra'eese Aleem, I will show everyone I deserve to fight for the title. I want to thank my whole team for putting me in this position, and I can't wait to get in there and show what I'm capable of." Aleem said, "The time is now to take that next step in my career toward a world title shot. A win against a tough opponent like Mike Plania will put me in that position. I've been waiting patiently for my opportunity to show everyone why I'm the best super bantamweight in the world. I'm grateful to my team for believing in me and my ability to bring excitement on the big stage. I'm never in a boring fight, and you will see the best of me come June 18. I'm going to let my hands fly and do the talking."
